BADASSERY CAN’T BE FAKED, BUT IT CAN BE LEARNT.

Who better to learn it from than the extraordinary TURIA PITT, award winning writer LIZZIE MARVELLY, entertainer and story-teller ANIKA MOA, political activist RICHIE HARDCORE, coach and performer PRECIOUS CLARK & speaker and co-creator of CCB PAULA GOSNEY.

Join us on Saturday 2nd June at Cordis Auckland (The Langham) for an afternoon of Courage, Connection and a wee bit of Badass.

a day to celebrate your awesomeness.

Three IMPORTANT reasons for you to be there:

Filling up your own cup makes you unstoppable and way more awesome to live with!

Sometimes the thing you need to hear, you need to hear from someone else.

The stories you'll hear will help you catch sight of your own potential.

You are stronger, more creative and far more resilient than you allow yourself to believe.

With six dynamic, inspiring speakers chosen because of their courage and badassery (and loads of fun and mischief in between) you’ll leave CCB connected and ready to take on the world..

If you are restless and wanting to create change in your life, this event is for you.

If you want to surround yourself with awesome people who believe life is for the taking, this event is for you.

If you love to be inspired by women who walk to the beat of their own drum, this event is for you.

SPEAKERS

For someone to make it onto our wish list of awesome speakers, they needed to be a little bit badass and be true to themselves.

Each of the speakers we have collaborated with are people who are showing us how to navigate this mental world with courage, grace and a wee bit of rebel.

Through their actions they are lighting the road less travelled.

You won’t leave our event with a ‘To Do’ list of things you must fix.
You’ll leave with your heart full, your shoulders back and your head high!

Turia Pitt

Without doubt, Turia is one of Australia’s most inspiring, courageous and downright badass woman.

Renowned for her pure grit, indomitable spirit and passion for humanitarian work, people from all over the world have taken Turia into their hearts and are deeply inspired by her.

LIzzie Marvelly

Lizzie Marvelly may have gained notoriety as a singer, but she has since earned her stripes as an engaging public speaker, feminist and badass.

Lizzie is a passionate advocate for women and often speaks about female empowerment. In May 2015, Lizzie launched Villainesse, an online media project aiming to create smart, ‘no-filter’ media for young women. Winner of the 2017 Canon Media Awards Best Blog Site, Villainesse is on a mission to empower young women through its mantra of “badass do-gooding".

paula Gosney

A writer, businesswoman, warrior, speaker and mum. Fiercely honest, a passionate coach and a woman who knows we are much more capable than we allow ourselves to believe.

With a remarkable career, establishing her first of many successful business at the age of 21, it’s easy to think Paula has it all.

However, life threw some nasty curveballs her way....

Anika-Moa.jpg

Anika Moa

Anika Moa is clever, charismatic and very funny! She’s a badass and we can’t wait to hear her story of early fame, rebellion, love and motherhood - like it has never been told before.

She began writing pop songs at the tender age of 13 and was spotted by Atlantic Records in 1999; becoming the youngest Kiwi artist to be signed to a major American record company.

Our CCB platform wouldn’t be complete without the quick wit of this badass Kiwi.

Richie-Hardcore.jpg

Richie Hardcore

Richie Hardcore's fighting career spanned more than 20 years, from martial arts tournaments to Muay Thai titles. He’s hung up his gloves and he now fights for social change rather than titles.

A self-confessed pragmatic idealist, Richie channels his energy into doing his best to leave the world a slightly better, healthier and happier place.

Precious-Clark.jpg

Precious Clark

There is something about Precious Clark that makes you stop and listen. She is an extraordinary story-teller; a master of weaving our past into our future to help us understand who we are and what our purpose is.

It is this combination of creativity, wisdom and passion that is spell-binding and the reason we had to have her on our CCB Stage!

Giving

When we give with no motive, no payback expected, many unseen forces come into play. There is no better way to create evidence for yourself of how valuable you are, than by contributing to those around you.

We have chosen to partner with The Women’s Refuge because we believe from the bottom of our hearts in helping those who are right in the middle of shit storm. We will be giving a nice big cheque to the Women’s Refuge at the end of this event.

We give because it feels good, it does good and it creates good. Thank you for being part of this.

She Says

Nicola and Paula created She Says Events to provide a platform for courageous, badass women to share their incredible knowledge, stories and wise words with the world.

Women are drowning in an ocean of should’s; relentlessly being held up against an ideal that is almost impossible to achieve. We are expected to be slim, fit and forever young, domestic goddesses, career women and some weird mix of a sex kitten and Mother Teresa.

She Says wants to contribute to the worldwide movement of women supporting women, women teaching women, women believing in women; knowing we are so much better when we connect, rather than compete and compare.

Nicola Carter

Nicola Carter gets things done; it’s that simple. She is motivated, organised and focused on creating life-changing events, courses and festivals. Nic is one of the best and most experienced event producers in the country.

Her passion for events was initially as a successful competitor, holding the NZ Secondary Schools Triathlon Title and representing her country. Leaving Uni with a Degree in Sports Management and a blossoming career in events, public relations and marketing; she was developing brands, opening stores and editing magazines before choosing to partner in Total Sport; one of New Zealand’s largest event companies, producing 20 sports events annually.

In 2015, Nicola stepped away from the day-to-day operation of Total Sport and shifted her focus to the Arts. From her initial vision, she established and leads the production team for the Taupo Winter Festival, a two-week arts and entertainment festival—now an annual event.

Belief School and She Says Events are the inevitable and exiting result of such a stellar career. These two platforms give her the vehicle to combine her incredible skills with her passion for helping people celebrate their lives.  Hang out with Nic and it won’t be long till you see what lights her up; her beautiful close family, good people and creating changing in the world.
